psychotherapeutic counsellor
Offering a supportive and compassionate approach to finding better mental health and well-being
About therapy
People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons and with different hopes and expectations for change. Whatever your motivation for seeking help, I offer a compassionate, confidential space where together we will gently explore your struggles and anxieties, and the often-unconscious thoughts, feelings and behaviours that underpin them. The goal is for clients to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, to feel better equipped to face life’s inevitable challenges and to find some sense of relief.
Therapy can help people coping with issues of anxiety and depression, overwhelming thoughts and feelings, relationship problems, processing traumatic experiences, struggles with identity and belonging, or searching for a sense of meaning and purpose. With greater awareness and insight, we will look at ways to help heal psychological and emotional distress.

About me
I come to counselling relatively late in my career. I am British but have lived and worked as a writer and editor in Asia and the UK, and over the last decade have been studying psychology and psychotherapy while bringing up a family in France. The experience of becoming bicultural has given me an understanding of the challenges involved in adapting to new environments, of diversity and difference, and negotiating identity and belonging. I have worked with international charities and more recently with refugees and asylum seekers with whom I have learned about the management and treatment of trauma and abuse.
I have a degree in psychology with counselling and am soon to complete a clinical diploma in integrative psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute in London. I am currently working as an online counsellor for UK-based Counselling for Social Change.
How I work
I am an integrative therapist which means that I draw on a range of different methods to understand and work with clients, including humanistic, relational, and mindfulness-based cognitive behavioural therapy approaches, always being led by the specific needs and goals of the individual.
